Anthony Gurnee, CEO of Ardmore Shipping, took part in a panel discussion at the 27th Annual Ship Finance & Investment Conference on public and private ownership.

Entitled ‘Going public, staying private: the ups and downs’, Anthony Gurnee joined fellow CEOs to debate the benefits of going public or remaining in private ownership, the issues for a shipping company to consider before taking this step and the implications for decision-making and corporate governance.

Held in London, the conference took place over two days and attracted a diverse audience of ship owners, operators and managers, bankers, investors and analysts.  The agenda covered a wide range of topical issues, including the market outlook in different sectors, the sale and purchase price of new and secondhand vessels, the impact of ‘eco’ ships and the best sources of finance, all under the theme of ‘exploring the shifting capital structure of shipping’.
