Mark Cameron joins Carbon War Room Shipping Operation Advisory Board

Mark Cameron, COO of Ardmore Shipping, has joined global NGO Carbon War Room’s Shipping Operation Advisory Board.

The aim of the Advisory Board is to lend industry insight to the maritime sector and support its efforts to reduce carbon emissions in an efficient and cost-effective manner. It comprises six leading industry figures, with backgrounds spanning the shipowning, chartering, technical analysis, finance, and academic worlds.

The Board’s first meeting was held earlier this year and discussed improving information transparency, increasing demand for efficiency, and how capital can be directed towards energy efficiency retrofits.

Other members of the Advisory Board includes Jan Dieleman, incoming President of Ocean Transportation at Cargill, Henrik Overgaard Madsen, former CEO of DNV and President and CEO of DNV.GL, Juha Heikinheimo, President of NAPA, Mark Clintworth, Head of Shipping for the European Investment Bank, and Dr Tristan Smith, Director of the Research Council UK-funded project ‘Shipping in Changing Climates’.

All members of the Carbon War Room’s Shipping Efficiency Advisory Board have joined in a personal capacity.
