Ardmore’s Mark Cameron at 2017 EMTECH Ship Emissions Technology Conference

Mark Cameron, Executive Vice President and COO of Ardmore Shipping, was invited to present and to join a panel of industry experts at the 2017 EMTECH Ship Emissions Technology Conference, held in Singapore.

The conference, which is part of the biennial Bunkering Week, brought together over 300 industry leaders and 60+ renowned speakers from various industry sectors, to discuss emerging ship emissions technology for all aspects of emissions control.

As part of his presentation, Ardmore’s Mark Cameron shared his knowledge and expertise using ‘Ardmore’s Approach to Emissions Control through Technology’ as a case study. The presentation covered several related topics including fuel monitoring and optimisation, weather routing and maximising the available data. In conclusion, Mark took the opportunity to highlight the importance of the human element to shipping, in particular ensuring that crews are equipped with the right information and equipment to empower them to make the right operational decisions at the right time.

Mark also took part in a shipowners’ roundtable to discuss the topic of “Knowing and Managing the Risk of Non-Compliance”. Mark was joined by Sanjeev Namath, Head, New Projects and R&D, Synergy Marine Group
